    Error Message


    I got this message today for the first time, in addition charts are missing candlesticks since 06: 00 09-15 until 00:03 09-18

    Glad to assist. So I may verify on my end, what version of NinjaTrader are you using? This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 7.0.1000.X ).

    Who are you connected to? This is displayed in green on lower left corner of the Control Center window.

    What instrument (and expiry if applicable) have you selected?

    (For a chart) what interval is selected?

    In the meantime, I suggest clearing the data cache. To delete the cache, follow the steps below.

    Shut down NinjaTrader.
    Open the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > db folder.
    Delete the sub-folder named 'cache'.
    Restart NinjaTrader and test.

      thank you so much for your fast response.

      I am connected to CQG

      Version is 7.0.1000.35

      Instrument ES 12-17

      It happens in all the timeframes ( 2,7,15, 45, 120 minutes)

      I have deleted the chache as you told me but error message and lack of data remains the same

        Testing on my end, I was able to load the chart without error using CQG.

        To test, please reset your instruments, this will ensure that the internal setting for the instruments are up-to-date with server specifications: Disconnect and go to the Tools menu, select the Options menu item, select the Data tab, and then click on 'Reset Instruments'.

        You will need to close and restart NinjaTrader for the settings to take effect.

        Let us know if you still see the same error.

            In the minute charts, how much data is being requested? (right click on the chart > Data Series > Days to load).

            This error usually indicates there is an issue with the data being received. Testing the minute intervals on my end I have so far not been able to replicate the error. Are there any other charts loaded using differing instruments or intervals?

            After the issue is narrowed down, I'll be able to report to our teams so the issue can be amended.

            In the meantime, as a test, please take the following steps to force NinjaTrader to start without your saved workspace. You will have the option to reopen these after our tests.

            Shut down NinjaTrader

            Navigate to (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 7\workspaces

            Delete the file named "_Workspaces.XML". DO NOT delete the 'workspaces' folder - only delete the '_Workspaces.XML' file within the 'workspaces' folder

            After deleting this file, restart NinjaTrader which should start up without any workspaces.

            Once NinjaTrader has started on just the control center, please open a new chart with no custom bar types/indicators/templates and test for issues.

            *Please note this will not delete your workspace however the new blank workspace will be named Untitled1. If you have a workspace already named "Untitled1," however, you will not want to save the workspace when exiting NinjaTrader, otherwise, it will overwrite it.
            If there are no issues on this new workspace, please try opening the previous workspace by going to File--> Workspaces--> Open workspace.

              For small timeframes (2, 3, 7 minutes) just a couple of days, as the timeframe grows also grows the number of days requested.

              I only use ES 12-17

              1 min 1 day to load
              2 min 4 days to load
              3min 8 days to load
              7min 10 days to load
              15 min 60 days to load
              45 min 120 days to load
              120 min 1.000 days to load
              360 min 850 days to load
              1446 min 7.000 days to load

              I have been working for years doing this.

              I have followed yout instructions to load a empty workspace but still got the same error

                Please write into to PlatformSupport[AT]NinjaTrader[DOT]Com along with your log and trace files and a link to this forum post.

                Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your response so I may investigate this matter further.

                * Open your NinjaTrader folder under Documents.
                * Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
                * Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
                * Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
