What exchanges for stocks

Hi

i am creating the symbols for the Euro stocks (from the stoxx600). I read a lot of things on the forum about the exchanges to select, but it's not really clear.

Can you help ?

Holland Amsterdam, is it AEX ?
Germany, is it XETRA ?
Belgium, is it BELFOX or BSE ?
France, is it SBF or PSE ?

What about :
Italy, Portugal, Spain, Ireland, Finland and Austria ?

Thanks for writing in to our Support team.

When looking up the exchanges for stocks, we need to do our best to gather as much information we can about what exchange the stock is listed on if there are multiple exchanges in that region. With stocks not listed in the platform by default, there is no guarantee that we will be able to retrieve data for the instrument but I'll do my best to assist you towards a resolution.

So that I can better assist you moving forward, can you please let me know who your data provider is and what instruments you are looking to trade?

thx for the reply.

The data provider is Esignal, i find easily the ticker on Esignal, but what i miss, is the exchange on Ninja Trader...

The instruments are all stocks, example :

Country : Tickers (stock name)
Austria : EBS (Erste Bank)
Finland : ELISA (Elisa OYJ)
Italy : RACE (Ferrari)
Spain : ACX (Acerinox)
Holland : GLPG (Galapagos)
Portugal : GALP (Galp Energia)
Ireland : BIRG (Bank of Ireland)
Germany : ALV (Allianz)
Belgium : BEKB (Bekaert)
Greece : ALPHA (Alpha Bank)

Gallapagos - GLPG - listed on the NASDAQ and Amsterdam Stock Exchange - Nasdaq, Aex
Galp Energia - GALP - Euronext Libson - unfortunately this exchange is not listed in our platform
Bank of Ireland - BIRG - London Stock Exchange - Lse
Allianz - ALV - Deutsche Borse Group, possibly Borse Stuttgart Group - Xetra, or Swb
Bekaert - BEKB - Euronext Brussels - unfortunately this exchange is not listed in our platform
Alpha Bank - ALPHA - Athens Stock Exchange - unfortunately this exchange is not listed in our platform

For example, for Portugal : GALP (Galp Energia), the symbol on Esignal is GALP-EEB, but NT doesn't have the exchange Euronext Lisbon... if i select the exchange SBF (who is Euronext Paris), will i receive the good data from Esignal ?

Thanks for your reply.

In this case, we would have to test to see if we receive data for this instrument. The GALP may be listed on that exchange, but I would imagine it would not reflect the prices of the listing on the Euronext Libson. I would first test by only selecting the Default exchange in NinjaTrader and seeing if you can retrieve any data in that way after defining the symbol mapping for eSignal as well.

If you do find that you are able to retrieve data when using another Euronext exchange, please first confirm that the prices are accurate by checking on another source or two and let me know what you did to receive the data properly.
