    6.5.1.0006 not connecting

    I installed your new version of Ninja to tend to the Russell Emini. I followed your "Crititcal" instructions and it just wont connect. Is this because we are using Patsystems with RCG. Is the Ninja platform NOT connecting becuase RCG isn't supporting this symbol yet? Or is it something more sinister?

    I have reverted back to 6.5.1.0005 and all seems fine for today's trading.

    Unfortunately RCG currently does not support it.

      Correct, they don't support it right now, but is that the reason that caused that version of Ninja to NOT connect?

        Hi,


        Yes, the TF is supported by some Patsystems brokerages but not RCG and therefore you are unable to connect.

          Thanks. We just spoke to the back office at RCG and they do NOT to plan on supporting the TF symbol anytime soon, as there is 30 minutes of risk exposure while Pats does it's daily cleanse.

          That being the case and I'm sure this will get covered, but please ensure that all future updates on Ninja take this fact into account, so we aren't surprised by not being able to connect when we upgrade.

            Unfortunately we are unable to discern what FCM/Patsystems installation that NT connects to report back whether its supported or not. Its just not technically possible.

              Thanks Ray, so what you are saying it that RCG/Pats clients will be restricted from upgrading past 6.5.1.0005, until they support the symbol?

                That is not what I am saying. The fact that TF is not supported by RCG has not impact on your ability to use any current or future version of NT. What it does limit is your ability to trade TF. Your inability to connect is NOT related to TF but something else, what I don't know without getting your logs/traces on the latest version.

                  Ok, I read an earlier response as saying that it was the lack of TF support as the reason for not connecting. Will see if I can gather those logs/traces from that install this morning. That is good news.
