Ninjatrader 7 Data Error

    Ninjatrader 7 Data Error

    Hi,

    I am using NT7. Where I am getting error in downloading Minute data.
    It always says Failed to Extract Data
    or Bad Allocation

    These 2 errors are showing up every now and then.
    Any Solution for it?

    abhishek72457, thank you for posting.

    As a test, please troubleshoot by deleting your historical data. To delete your historical data please follow the steps below:
    1. Within the Control Center go to Tools> Historical Data Manager> Edit
    2. Select the data you want to delete, right-click on it, and select 'Delete'
    3. Once the data has been deleted close NinjaTrader
    4. Open the Documents\NinjaTrader7\db\cache folder
    5. Select all files then right mouse click and select 'Delete'
    6. Open NinjaTrader and connect to your data provider

    I have provided a link below to our Help Guide that goes over how to delete historical data.



    If you continue to experience the same after testing the above steps, I would like to know the following information so that we may investigate this further.

    What version of NinjaTrader are you using? This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 7.0.1000.36)

    What instrument have you selected? Do you see this with all CFDs?

    (For a chart) what interval is selected?

    Lastly, what historical data server are you using? You may find this by navigating to the NinjaTrader Control Center > Tools > Account Connections. In the Account Connections window, click to highlight the FXCM demo account and click "Change". In the Connection wizard, click "Next>" and you should see what historical data server is selected towards the lower half the window.

      Hi Riley,

      I have tried deleting data Method. It didn't work for me.

      I use NT7 7.0.1000.36 Version

      I have selected only 5 Instruments which are XAGUSD, XAUUSD,USOIL,NGAS,COPPER
      attached screenshot for the same,

      I selected 60 Minutes chart Interval,

      Historical Data server is FXCM.

      And today some different error after deleting historical data method.

      I have taken some screenshots if they are needed for reference.

        How many days to load are you using when creating these charts? This setting is within the data series. If you reduce this number, does the issue persist?

        Does the issue persist if you select 'use NinjaTrader servers' in the FXCM connection? To change this, follow these steps:
        • Disconnect from FXCM
        • Tools > Account Connections > Select your FXCM connection > Change
        • Next > Select 'use NinjaTrader servers' > Next > Next > Finish > OK > Close
        • Reconnect and test

          FXCM Server Issue

          Hi,

          I have tried with Ninjatrader servers for updating historical data. Now its working fine but data is missing of incorrect I guess .

          So can you guys update FXCM about data server issue? If they can resolve.

            Hello abhishek72457,

            The FXCM demo accounts do not support CFDs, so when you select a CFD, you won't receive any real-time data, however, if you connect using NinjaTrader's servers, you will only receive historical data. Unfortunately, we have no control over these sort of enablements.
