    Unable to login (order routing system error)

    Longtime CQG user no longer able to login. Unable to login for over 2 weeks. Error is: Login failed. Network connection to order routing system is unavailable. Same error for Wifi and hotspot.

    This typically occurs when an older and unsupported version of NinjaTrader is in use. What version of NinjaTrader are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 7.0.1000.X or 8.0.X.X)

      It's pretty old...7.0.1000.31. I've avoided upgrading due to some scripts that I'm unsure will carry over to a newer version. Can u link to the process for porting scripts and 3rd party software into the latest version?

        You posted this thread in a NinjaTrader 8 sub-forum originally. We typically make assumptions based on the sub-forum that a thread is posted in (version for example), so please make sure you're always looking for the most relevant sub-forum for your topic. If you don't do this, you may receive answers to questions which aren't relevant to you. I've moved your thread to the relevant NinjaTrader 7 sub-forum.

        You're using a very old and unsupported version of NinjaTrader 7. You need to update to the latest version of NinjaTrader 7. You do not need to migrate to NinjaTrader 8 which is a totally different program, so there should be no issues with any custom files or settings. The newer version contains many critical updates to the database. Please update NinjaTrader 7 and reset your instruments:

        First, to update NinjaTrader, please follow the steps below:
        • First get your license key from NinjaTrader under Help> License Key then exit NinjaTrader
        • Click on the link: http://ninjatrader.com/PlatformDirect
        • Enter your license key and press Submit
        • Select 'NinjaTrader 7'
        • Select 'Download'
        • Critical: Before running the installer, ensure NinjaTrader is closed.
        Lastly, to reset your instruments, please follow the steps below:
        • Disconnect from your data feed: NinjaTrader Control Center> File> Disconnect> Select your data feed
        • Reset your Instruments: NinjaTrader Control Center> Tools> Options> Data tab> Reset Instruments>OK
        • Restart NinjaTrader> Connect (NinjaTrader Control Center> File> Connect> Select your connection
