Use Market Analyzer to Show When 2 Candles Close Above/Below Simple Moving Average

Hello!

I would like to use the Market Analyzer to let me know when 2 candles have closed above or below the 25 Simple Moving Average in a row.

Is this possible without hiring someone to custom make it?

Any insight would be appreciated!

Unfortunately, this is not possible in NT7 without custom programming. It would be a simple code to write if you would like more information on how to create this yourself. It is also possible to create this kind of alert in NT8 without custom programming.

Thanks for your post.

In NT8 there is a dedicated Alerts window that you may set alerts from. You can access this Alert window from your chart by right-clicking inside your chart and selecting "Alerts..."
Next, you would need to set a condition for each of those candles.
The first condition would be if the Data Series, with a Bars ago value of zero,is greater than the SMA with a Bars ago value of zero.
The second condition would be the same except you would set the Bars ago value on both the Data Series and the SMA to one.
Once you have done that simply click OK and set up you actions for how you would like to be alerted.
