Older Expired Instruments can not be added

    Hello,

I am using NinjaTrader 7 and need to replay data for ES 2016 that I recorded back then. However when I try to add ES with let's say 06-16 expiry, it is not in drop down list. The latest one I see there is 02-17 (basically 1 year ago). How can I add older expiries?

    Thanks,
    redduke

Hello. Thank you for the post.

Please go to Control Center> Tools> Instrument Manager. Once there, search for the instrument, when it appears, click on it to select it>choose the expiry you want at the bottom pull down list> Click the left facing arrow.

Please let us know if we may be of any further assistance.

That is the issue. On that drop down list, the oldest is 02-17, and I need to select 2016 contracts. Please take a look at screen shot

      Thanks

        Hello. Thanks for the reply.

I cannot download data that is this old so I am unable to test this, but you should be able to type the instrument name while your chart has focus and it will display properly. So if I wanted to view ES 03-16 I would just type that into my chart.

I look forward to hearing of your results.

          Chris,

Thanks a lot. It worked great. Had no idea such option exists. Will make my testing much easier. Same applies to time frames, if I enter numbers it changes from 5 to 15 min for example.

          Regards,
