Overlay Different Timeframe Indicator
I suspect my Topic Title is incorrect. But I have been trading the ES using a 555 tick chart and I would like to move over to the MES. Of course I cant use the 555 tick on the MES at this time. But is there a way to overlay, for example, the EMA from the ES 555 tick chart onto my MES 40 tick chart?
Hope that makes sense.Tags: None

Hello,
Thank you for your post.
This is certainly possible.
First, create a chart with two sets of data--- Select File -> New-> Chart from the Control Center
- Select the ES 06-19 Instrument, and configure the Data Series with Type: Tick Value: 555
- Under Chart style, select "line on close" and set the Color to "Transparent" (to hide the line)
- In the Instrument Search bar on the upper left, search for MES
- Configure this data series to have a Type: Tick and Value: 40
- Under Visual-> Panel select "1"
- Click OK
Next, you will configure the Indicator--- Right-click on your chart and select Indicators
- Find EMA in the "Available" list and double click on it
- Under "Data" under Properties on the right-hand side, click on the box next to "Input Series" and select the ES series.
- Click OK
- Click OK again to accept the Indicator properties
This video from the NinjaTrader YouTube account may also be a helpful tool with a visual walk-through of the process:
