        But why i can't go on ninjatrader website?
        This is a problem for me, because every time I serch for something I can't see it, for example the NT7 release that I have read the beta 13 is pubblic, but I can't look how to have it.

          There is nothing on our side that would be blocking you. Please try to access the NinjaTrader website in another browser such as Firefox or Chrome, also please disable any firewalls or antivirus on your PC that may be blocking you from accessing the NinjaTrader website.

            Not connecting

            Hi

            Has this issue been resolved? My connection to PFG used to work, but I had to reinstall Ninjatrader 6.5 for another reason, and now PFG connection giving the exact same problem as others in this thread - tries to connect for 10minutes then comes back with the following error message:

            Login Failed: Trade Server Socket Error Code: 10053 Network Connection aborted by localhost (10053).

            Any suggestions?

              Hello shadowfax,

              Thank you for your post.

              The “10053” error you received is normally associated with PFG server issues & requires a reinstall of the PFG API to resolve it.

              Here is the link that includes the download for both PFG API’s. Make sure that you download & install the right version; e.g. for NinjaTrader 6.5 you will use PFG API version 1.0.434.


              Please let me know if this doesn’t resolve the issue.

                Issue still not solved

                Hi,

                I just now ran into this issue.

                Still. It takes a lot of time. The "Connecting PFG" string is show for more then 5 min in the status bar. Then I get:
                Login Failed: Trade Server Socket Error Code: 10053 Network Connection aborted by localhost (10053).
                Error notice.

                The connection is set up according to the support page. I tried to reinstall PFG API. Same result. I tried to uninstall all ninja and all PFG API installations then install ninja 6.5 from scratch, install PFG API 1.0.434 but the same is occuring. I would like this issue to be solved soon. I don't know what to do.

                Can you please assist me?

                  Please try disabling any security software (anti-virus, firewall, etc) and see if the issue persists.

                    Hi Tamas

                    I found that the problem was being caused by me using a mobile broadband connection to the internet. When I switched to DSL/Cable it worked fine. Have not had any issues since.

                      Error 10053

                      To Whom It May Concern,

                      I have been using NT 6.5 latest version as of 23rd Sept 2010.

                      I have the latest version of PFG API.

                      I have been using NT with the API with no problems for 1 week.

                      Today when I went to connect I get the Error 10053 socket problem.

                      I have uninstalled and reinstalled the API. Restarted NT and Windows XP.
                      I have turned off AVG anti virus.

                      No Help.

                      I did try to connect using mobile broadband USB stick today and I thought that might be the issue. Although when I got home to home wifi, the error is still occurring, both on my laptop and my desktop?

                      What could be the problem here?

                        Hello,

                        Thank you for your forum post.

                        If it is occuring on 2 PC's this would indicate not an issue with your PC however and issue with your network/PFG. Try taking out your router and then connecting directly.

                        Also, problem may lie with PFG as well. Please test again as mabye you cought them down during maintenence during the weekend. If you are unable to connect still even this morning please try to take out the router and connect directly with a PC to see if this makes a difference.

                          Error 10053

                          I restarted Windows on both computers a second time and the problem disappeared on both computers???

                          Very weird, I will let you know if it occurs again.

                          What is strange is that on one of the computers I didn't reinstall pfg api or anything. Just a restart.
