    Session Manager Issue?

    Hi,
    there is something wrong with my charts. It looks different on 7 and 8 version. Some candles red on 7 and those are green on 8. And they have different size too. How is it possible?
    I use default setting session template.

    What version of NinjaTrader 7 are you currently running? Additionally, what is the Merge Policy set to? You can find this under Tools > Options > Data > Merge Policy.

        Thank you for the reply.

        NinjaTrader daily historical data was changed from RTH to ETH in NinjaTrader 8 as there was high demand for ETH data from many clients. I suspect this is why you are seeing the difference, I would suggest changing the charts to 1440 minute charts and RTH times if you would like to match daily charts across platforms.

          Still doesn't match. Maybe there is a way to edit Session Manager or something? Or it's better to move to 8?

            Thank you for your reply.

            Within your screenshot I notice that you have "US Equities ETH" template, which may be the cause in this case. By Default, the daily Bars in NinjaTrader 8 use the ETH Trading Hours template. In order to have the correct settings, I would suggest changing your NinjaTrader 7 Chart to "Use Instrument Settings"

                Thank you for your reply.

                This is likely due to what CME considers the closing time on their end. Since minute data is granular, it is possible that the difference in prices could be due to additional data present during the time when the Daily Chart is already updated.

                I would suggest pulling up a 1440 Minute Chart on NinjaTrader 8 as well to see the data match up.

                    Additionally, please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your response so I may investigate this matter further.
                    • Open your NinjaTrader folder under My Documents.
                    • Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
                    • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
                    • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
