    Problems with importing data

    Hello, I have bought data from Kibot and I try to import them into ninjatrader 7. They are in .txt format and I can import most of them, but when I try to import natural gas (NG), it gives me error : Unable to import file, instrument is not supported by repository. I have ticker NG in my instrument list already, and I have imported other tickers in same .txt format, so do not know why NG does not want to be imported? Any ideas please?

    Thanks for posting to the forums.

    Another forum user ran into a similar problem and appears to resolved it by adjusting the Sim Feed Start Price in the Instrument Manager:



    Please let me know if adjusting this value does not resolve the issue.

      Hello, thank you for your answer. I read the forum, I can find Sim feed Start Price in the instrument Manager, but I still do not know what value to put there? I am trying to import 10 years of historical data, so have no idea which sim deed Start Price to have there? Any ideas?

        Looking at the past 6 years, it looks like a good median number would 5000.

          I tried it, but it still does not work, still the same error. I can try to send you the contract month of historical data of NG if you want to try... I have10 years of them, but one for example will be enough.

            I can not send it as an attachement, because it exceeds limit of attachment, so if you have any email, I can send it to you there to try.

              Thanks for your reply.

              Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to an email to platformsupport[at]ninjatrader[dot]com with 'ATTN: Marco G' in the subject line and a reference to this thread in the body of the email so we can get this figured out for you.
              • Open your NinjaTrader folder under My Documents.
              • Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
              • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments in your email.
              • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
