Tradestation email interface dupliate stop orders after strategy reload

Hi,

I'm experimenting with the tradestation email interface and I've got a duplicate stop order problem after strategy reload. NT would not cancel previously sent pending stop orders from IB's stop server when a TS strategy is reloaded. This create significant problem and is dangerous because once every while TS would suddenly reload the chart when it experience data connection problem and without canceling previous orders we would end up having duplicate orders.

Is there anyways to solve this problem?

Hello,

Try going to Tools>Options, and check Confirm order placement to screen out any duplicate orders.

Other than that, it sounds like you may need to debug it and see where the issue is.

This is not about having a bug. This is about duplicate orders *after* strategy reloads.

TS Trade Manager cancels all pending orders from stop server when a strategy is turned off and NT does not do that. When a strategy is turned off NT has no way to know that a strategy is turned off and thus the stop orders stay at the stop server (in my case IB stop server). When the strategy is later turned back on it will sends out new orders and thus having a duplicate.

I recommend turning on the order confirmation (mentioned before) upon loading the strategy, then turn it off once everything is in the clear.
