    Hello Simon Thompson,

    Thank you for the post.

Can you check if this also happens with the SampleMACrossover or does this only happen with your strategy?

If this is only happening with your strategy, was this built using the wizard or did you manually code this? I would likely need to see the properties in the script to better understand the problem if this is isolated to one strategy.

I can also suggest trying to restart the analyzer tool if you had not tried that already.

I look forward to being of further assistance.

Add [NinjaScriptProperty] to any parameter you want exposed to the analyzer. Hmm, I see it is NT7 you are working with. Make sure you set [GridCategory("xxx")] for the parameters you want to use.

          Hello Simon Thompson,

          Thanks for trying that.

Are you able to pull up a chart for the time period you have selected and see the full period from the start date? I see you are using range bars, if you use a small period like 10 - 20 days do are you able to backtest the sample? Tick data is generally limited on the historical data servers so selecting a large amount of time may fail to download depending on what is available.

The progress bar should pop up when starting the test however if the instrument you have selected has no data or cannot be downloaded that would cause what you are describing or a quick test with no results.

I look forward to being of further assistance.

            hi Jesse

it was funny that i disconnected from the live feed and the results came up... so i have been testing again and it seems to be working again.. thank you for your effort Jesse.. although I do have another question for you. i built a strategy and I get these overfill alerts.. I do not what this means nor it is a strategy problem?

              Hello Simon Thompson,

From our help guide An overfill is categorized as when an order returns a "Filled" or "PartFilled" state after the order was already marked for cancellation.

An overfill occurs when conflicting actions are sent which will result in an incorrect fill. From the image it appears that may be one of your other conditions, the error shows buy to cover which would generally be a short exit. Without more details from the log it is hard to say what specifically happened aside from there was a conflicting action that happened which generated the overfill warning.

You may be able to locate more specific details by looking at the trades the strategy placed after closing the error to see what specific order of operations happened.

I look forward to being of further assistance.
