This morning I got into a futures trade with my usual method, I use the DOM to place and cancel orders, Ninja is connected through IB.
I can not pin point the reason, so any suggestions are appreciated, but Ninja would let me into an order, but wouldn't get me out. I pressed the close button as I always do, the trade dissappeared as it always does, and it cleared my API tab in IB where my active trades are listed, suggesting that the trade was no longer active and indeed closed.
However, upon a review of executions, it was never closed out, and upon review of my trades on the IB side, indeed I was still in my position!
Does anyone have any suggestions as to why Ninja would be letting me into a position, letting me close the position, telling me it's closed, but not actually closing it? I made several points on a long this morning and ended up losing it waiting on the phone to get my broker to close me out manually.
