Using IB data with DTN historical

Hi

I am having issues using a chart for TRIN as IB's NYSE-TRIN uses data in 0.83 format whereas IQFEED uses 97.67 etc. So everytime I connect, my charts get backfilled and then goes off scale due to IB realtime.

Any sugestions?

Thank you for your post.

Try going into the Instrument manager and search for the TRIN.

Double click to bring up the editor. Go to the Misc tab and delete the symbol mapping for whichever data feed you don't want to use, IB in your case.

Let me know if that works.

No I want to use both. IB for realtime, DTN for historical backfill. Its just like it seems IB shows TRIN as DTN/100.

Unfortunately NinjaTrader only shows the data provided from the data feed.

There is no way to change this scaling.

FYI - Both IB and DTN IQ offer both historical and real time data for the TRIN, what is your purpose in using both?

DTN has a longer look back for tick charts for ES etc. I dont think i can selectively use IB for TRIN and DTN for eminis.

I have been trying to test by connecting first to DTN and leaving my TRIN chart open and then connecting to IB. My chart stays with the DTN scale and real time data.

Please tell me the order you are connecting in.

My order is IB first and then DTN. I do not have DTN realtime... only historical. Also I have the IB historical server disabled in the connection property.

I was able to recreate.

Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about this since this is the data that your data feed providers send to NinjaTrader.

If this is an issue, I suggest finding another historical data provider that uses the same scaling of the TRIN as IB.
