    micros

    Hello, hope everyone there is safe and well. My NT7 does not recognize the micro es, micro ym, micro nq, etc. When I search for it in the instrument manager it does not show up, I tried typing a variety of combinations and the only micros that show up are the micro currency pairs. Can the micros only be traded on NT8?

    They're available on NT7 as well.

    Have you upgraded to version 7.0.1000.40?

    I mean, the new version of version 7.0.1000.40?

    To add the micros to NT7, they released an updated version of
    the existing version 7.0.1000.40, but in an incredibly stupid and
    bonehead engineering mgmt decision, they saw no wisdom in
    incrementing the version number to 7.0.1000.41.

    That's right -- there were two releases of v40, you may be on
    the 'older' one. No way to tell ... like I said, stupid move by NT
    to do it this way -- a really really poor decision -- this decision
    will only confuse and screw the folks coming late to the micro
    party. Hopefully this will fix it for you.

        I followed these steps but the site must still have the earlier version,after redownloading I have the same results. Is there somewhere to get the newer version? Thanks

          Hello,

          Thanks for the post.

          NinjaTrader has added the new micro e-mini futures instruments into the NinjaTrader database. The symbols are as follows:
          • M2K = Micro E-mini Russell 2000 Futures
          • MES = Micro E-mini S&P 500 Futures
          • MNQ = Micro E-mini Nasdaq-100 futures
          • MYM = Micro E-mini Dow futures

          To receive these new instruments within your NinjaTrader database, please follow the steps below: NinjaTrader 7 —

          An uninstall, reinstall, and instrument reset is necessary to receive these new symbols. This is required even if you're using the latest version of NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.40. Please follow the following steps (this will not affect or remove your custom files or settings):
          • Copy your license key from the Control Center > Help > License Key window.
          • Close all running applications.
          • Uninstall NinjaTrader within Windows Control Panel.
          • Once these steps are completed, download and install NT7 from the link below.

          Once installed, reset your instruments:
          • Disconnect from your data feed: NinjaTrader Control Center> File> Disconnect> Select your data feed.
          • Reset your Instruments: NinjaTrader Control Center> Tools> Options> Data tab> Reset Instruments> OK.
          • Restart NinjaTrader

          After the instrument reset, you should find these new instruments within the NinjaTrader Instrument Manager.

              Hello!

              I uninstall Ninja and install... reset instruments .. and some day all good.
              But today and in last week... I see only in MES problems in chart. IM2K not problem...or other..
              I check the Instrument and see what we can in attach.,
              I change the 2 things:
              • Tick Size: 0.25
              • Point Value: 1 = $5 (i put 5.00)
              And ok... but after check a system... not work and the chart it is not display...

              I check again the Instrument and put again... and work...
              but again after sometime not display... and again I change the values... and work...
              after close and start the Ninja again... same problem!!
              What is wrong?

              I have data with IB.

                You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Mail to Platform Support

                Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.
