Spot gold. XAUUSD.FXCM

Can any one help with the gold spot forex data please?. I can’t for the life of me get any data. I’m using IQ feed and the snap quote works perfectly. But not data is displayed at all when I try and load a chart and it’s says invalid instrument??.

I have been able to successfully display the XAUUSD instrument through an IQFeed connection. Is this the instrument you have been using?



If you have been using a different instrument symbol, please test whether you receive the data if you switch to the "XAUUSD" instrument.

Please let me know should this not work!

I remember I had the same problem in the past, but now everything is ok. I used Naga or Oanda as a periodical alternative until they fix the main instrument, then I was going back. Now the instrument should fix everything, they have some lags, but I can't really say the problem of such "phenomenon." That time (2012), the gold raised to almost 2000, and this was a huge winning for my family because my father invested when It was lower than 500 (in the 2000s, I guess). The gold that we had in the house was sold at the pawnshop in London. We knew there is gonna be a correction so we could buy another party in a few years.

At the moment, I don't experience any issues, but I am sure I will have a lot of questions soon. Thanks for your attention!
