Hi/Lo Markers Time & Sales

Hi,

I have been using Ninja with Zen-Fire for a year. Just recently on my Time & Sales, the New High (or Low) markers stopped working. If the market is going up every tick is green (Time & Sales) even if you are below the high of the day. Similar for short.

This has been working fine up till about 1 week ago. WHen you made a new high it painted green in Time & Sales, when you backed off it stopped painting green as is correct.

My Times and Sales is always showing either a new high (Higlighted green) or new low (highted red)

Thank you for your post.

Both NinjaTrader and Zen-Fire are aware of this issue and are working to resolve it as soon as possible. There are no adjustments for you to make in NinjaTrader at this time.

Once your T&S starts printing the green/red change to another instrument then change back to the one you want. Doing this seems to make the T&S ignore the high/low marker.

You will not get the green/red again on a new high/low, so it is not a fix. But it is a workaround for having to look at those blinding colors

We potentially have a workaround for this coming later this week. The problem is that the Zen-Fire changes to the new FIX FAST data delivery protocol and this resulted in the inability to send NinjaTrader daily high/low consistently.

Thanks for the update.

The solution of re-connecting between sessions, is not great!.

We have trading systems that run 24 hrs a day 5 days a week, so disconnecting is not an option.

Are there plans to correct this permanately?

ZenFire should not remove key functionality in between API releases.

There is nothing that NinjaTrader can do since we have no way of being notified in the API when a new session starts so we can reset internal variables. This will be resolved on the server side with an upcoming API that NinjaTrader will make use of. This however, likely will not happen until late Q109. If you happen to be running NinjaScript strategies, you could self code this via OnMarketData() method and reset high/low variables based on your system clock for the markets you run the strategy on.
