10/21/2008 10:30 Position Instrument='ES 12-08' Account='Sim101' Avg price=980.5 Quantity=2 Market position=Short Operation=Insert Currency=Unknown
10/21/2008 10:30 Execution Execution='6cecff919a32450a86f2fc6a36d54948' Instrument='ES 12-08' Account='Sim101' Exchange=Default Price=980.5 Quantity=2 Market position=Short Operation=Insert Order='d9b5c0072c8b4f60bcc9b16277fb6b0e' Time='10/21/2008 10:30:17 AM'
And this one, 8 minutes later -- same instrument, same chart trader session, nothing changed that I can tell -- did not:
10/21/2008 10:38 Position Instrument='ES 12-08' Account='Sim101' Avg price=979.875 Quantity=4 Market position=Short Operation=Update Currency=Unknown
10/21/2008 10:38 Execution Execution='b4fc976076ab4ce2b5de4830cd338da8' Instrument='ES 12-08' Account='Sim101' Exchange=Default Price=979.25 Quantity=2 Market position=Short Operation=Insert Order='b5bab02dce314bd9939df29d53650b64' Time='10/21/2008 10:38:56 AM'
Because the problem is that when I closed this position in NinjaTrader and sent a Buy to Close order for 4 contracts, then C2 closed the 2 open shorts and opened up 2 new long positions! That's not a good thing.
