    NinjaTrader 8 - Not communicating trades to TWS 978.2 Paper Acct

    Hey, guys. I've no problem connecting to TWS from NT. Real time data and trades in the DOM work fine. However, the trades are not being recorded in TWS. I have the ports on both set to 7497 and have set all other parameters according to the instructions at https://ninjatrader.com/ConnectionGu...nnection-Guide None of the previous threads here that relate to the problem seem to help.

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Please send me your log and trace files so that I may look into what occurred.
    • You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support
    • Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.

        Hello rluci,
        Thanks for the files.
        It looks like you are placing orders with the Sim101 account which TWS cannot see because it is local to NinjaTrader. If you were to place an order with your live account, you would be able to see that in TWS.
        You can switch the account you are trying with from the trading window. For example, in the SuperDOM, you will see the accounts dropdown below the instrument selector.

          Thanks much, Giovanna. The drop down in the SuperDom only offers Sim101.

            Hello rluci,
            It looks like you are also using a simulation key currently. The simulation key does not allow you to select your live account.
            If you have a free live key or have purchased a key, it would have arrived via email and should be inserted into Control Center > Help > License Key.
