Hello Tonynt,
Thank you for your reply.
To clarify, Range bars are not a time based bar, they are tick based, and thus are not anchored to a specific time slot in your charts. Minute bars are time based and as mentioned the spaces your seeing are the time increments where your 5 minute bars would go if they were visible.
There is not a way to change this behavior. I can reproduce this exact behavior when using time based bars.
Please feel free to write in if you need additional assistance.

Hello,
I wrote in post #11 to the screenshot that in NT8 its the same behavior.
In the meantime I tested the following: having a 4 Range chart and adding again a 5 min chart (invisible) and its possible to reduce distance between bars totally. So why does it work here and not with 30min primary and 5min added dataseries?
Thank you!
Tony

Hello Tonynt,
Thank you for your reply.
I was responding specifically to your questions about reducing gaps. You will not be able to get these bars closer because even thought your 5 minute bars are invisible there still needs to be space for them on the chart. It cannot be eliminated entirely. As Jermaine mentioned this is a limitation of NinjaTrader 7.
Please feel free to write in if you need additional assistance.

Hello,
thank you for your reply. What do you mean please with "...to shorten the gap between bars" please? I dont understand.
And attached I show a screenshot NT8, above only 30 min and below 30min and 5min dataseries. Same as in NT7. Can´t get bars closer with 2nd dataseries added.
Thank you!
Tony

Hello tonynt ,
Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately, this is a limitation of the NinjaTrader 7 Platform. Although I would like to point at a significant difference between the chart that you posted and the chat that I created.
I am able to see that your chat should be able to shorten the gap between bars.
Please let us know if we may be of any further assistance.

Hello tonynt ,
Thank you for your note.
Using the same instructions that I provided in my previous post I was able to get the bars as close as possible without overlapping. (see image)
Please let us know if we may be of any further assistance.

Hello,
of course it has to be adjusted horizontally on x-axis! But it cant get closer as shown in the screenshot. I thought already in the meantime maybe the reason is that 2nd dataseries 5 min was not candlestick but HILO. No, also when it is Candlestick same as 30 min the bars cant be adjusted closer as in the screenshot!
Thank you!
Tony

Can you not left mouse click the x-axis and drag it to the right to scrunch it up more?
