I am trying to make an indicator that uses trade data. looking to have it display the entry price once I enter a trade, and then when I exit with partial profits, it would 'move' the entry price line to show what my new break-even price would be given the new profits. Can an indicator do this? or a strategy? Thank you!

Hello Austiner87,
Thanks for your reply.
In NinjaTrader7 you are a bit limited in what you can do along these lines.
From a non-programming approach, open two charts (same instrument and same account) and on one apply the strategy and on the other enable the chart trader. The chart trade will display the entry price line according to the value of Position.AvgPrice. The same is true if you manually trade (with the chart trader) as well.
From a scripting point of view, I would suggest looking at my colleague Jesse's example of accessing account data from an indicator: https://ninjatrader.com/support/foru...rategy?t=68029 as Jesse notes this is undocumented and unsupported in NinjaTrader7. You can do this in NinjaTrader8 where it is documented and is supported.Paul H.NinjaTrader Customer Service
