Thank you for your post.
This is correct as GAIN only offers 1 day of historical tick and minute data. They do NOT offer daily data which is what creates weekly, monthly and yearly charts.
I beleive what Ryan posted is still available with a live account, you will have to contact GAIN to confirm.Ray S.NinjaTrader Customer Service

I'm not sure when it happened, but all of a sudden there is LOTS of historical data from GAIN.
Using 1440 minute bars on EURUSD I can go back as far as early 2006! I haven't tried any further so who knows how far back it goes...
By calculating the number of minute bars per week, it should also be possible to construct pseudo-weekly bars.
I'm curious, has this extra data been added on the NT historical server, or on GAIN's?

Mysterious Gain backfill data
Hey guys does anyone have further clarification on this new data?
A friend of mine says his Ninja/Gain combination has started giving him backfill too.
Mine still does not! :-(
I have tried the Ninja historical servers and nothing changes.
Am I missing something?
What has Elliot and my friend stumbled upon and how do I get it?
The lack of backfill has been the only major weakness of Ninja/Gain combination in my opinion. If this has been resolved why is there no parade and celebration? :-)

This feature has been available for some time apparently. The only reason it did not seem to work for me this morning was I was trying to backfill an oddball pair that the Ninja servers do not record data for, the USDHKD.
So the simple answer is that while Gain does not provide historical backfill data Ninja does if you select the Ninja server option.
This is huge and makes Ninja much more competitive. I have friends who chose to not use Ninja because of the lack of backfill on Gain and come to find out it has been a feature for some time. Live and learn.
I suggested to Jason that Ninja should promote this great feature and update the Gain entry in the help file historical data section to reflect it.
Thanks for an ever improving product! I can't wait for v7!
Thanks,
Gains
