    Cannot log in today

    Hi -- I have had a Dorman/ZenFire connection in Ninja Trader that has worked since November 2007. I reformatted my hard drive over the weekend and reinstalled the latest version of Ninja Trader yesterday. When I tried to log into ZenFire yesterday and today, I get an error that says "Login failed: Please check your account connection parameters and your internet connection."

    I have tried a couple things:

    1) Deleted the .db file and all workspaces. No luck.
    2) Deleted the acct connection, repaired the db, restarted NT, recreated the acct connection. No luck.

    This same account username and password worked on Friday, so I don't know what the problem is. Can you help?

    Hi,

    My guess is that your firewall reset itself after the upgrade. Please disable this and then see if you can connect.

      Good guess --- I turned off Windows Firewall, stopped/started Ninja Trader. Still the same error message. What else can I try?

        Something is got reset after your upgrade. Check all other AV software and pop-up blockers as well and see if NinjaTrader is granted permission to access the internet.

          Aren't you going to ask to see any log files? Well, here's the ZenFire one for you... what do you see in this that could help?

            We're not qualified to read Zen-Fire logs. We could help out with one of our own.

            However, please try the following first and let me know this works:
            - Remove your account connection
            - Exit and restart the software
            - Recreate your account connection
            - Connect

            Let me know if this works for you.

            If it doesn't send me your log from My Documents--> NinjaTrader 6.5--> Log--> log.20081110

            Send it to support at ninjatrader dot com and put in the subject 'For Vince'.

              OK, it's sent.

              Now, back to ZenFire. Since all I have is a username and password, and the "Login Failed" message, I have no idea how to find out what is failing. Do I have the wrong password? Is my account deactivated?

              I would like to either contact ZenFire or whoever I'm logging in to, or go to whatever web site so I can test my login account/password there. Is there somewhere I can go to test my account and password manually instead of through Ninja Trader?
