    ninjtrader.Vendor.cs not found

    Hi guy,

    Im randomly running into this issue on NT8. it is saying it cant find Ninjatrader.vendor.cs file but its in that folder. i have been trying everything but am unable to resolve it.

    Please see attached.

    Thank you for your post.

    Let's try to repair your installation of NinjaTrader and see if this corrects the problem. To do this, please follow the steps below;
    • Make sure NinjaTrader is completely shut down
    • On your PC, navigate to C:\Users\user\Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom
    • Delete the following files;
      • NinjaTrader.Vendor.dll
      • NinjaTrader.Vendor.cs
    After deleting the aforementioned files, please repair your installation of NinjaTrader from the Windows Control Panel. To do this;
    1. In the search box on the Windows taskbar, type Control Panel and select it from the results.
    2. Select Programs > Programs and Features.
    3. Locate NinjaTrader 8 on the list, right-click on it and select Repair, or if that’s not available, select Change. Then follow the directions on the screen.
    After completing the steps above, launch NinjaTrader 8.

    Do you continue to experience the same?

      Thank you for yout prompt reply. Sadly im still experiencing the same issue.

      In addition to that, whenever i try to import a new addon, it says i have custom files that have programming errors which must be resolved first.

        Thank you for your reply.

        This is the programming error that is being referenced. Once this is resolved, that message will disappear. Since repair just those files themselves did not resolve the issue, we will have to get a bit more invasive. As a test, I'd like to see if you experience this behavior on a clean install of NinjaTrader 8.

        Please follow the steps listed below to completely uninstall and reinstall NinjaTrader.
        • Close all running applications.
        • Navigate to your Documents folder > Right click on the 'NinjaTrader 8' folder > Rename > rename the folder to 'NinjaTrader 8 OLD'. DO NOT delete this folder.
        • Uninstall NinjaTrader within Windows Control Panel.
        • Navigate to C:\ > Program File (x86) > Delete the 'NinjaTrader 8' folder if it exists
        • Reboot your PC.
        • Once these steps are completed, download and install NT8 from the link below.
        After performing the clean install, launch the platform and see if you experience the same message. If you do not, please shut down the platform and we can begin putting your existing saved data back.

        Copy these files and folders from your old, renamed (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 8 OLD folder to your new folder. If asked to replace files, always select "yes"
        • Config.xml
        • workspaces
        • templates
        • all .dll files in bin\Custom except these :
          • NinjaTrader.Custom.dll
          • NinjaTrader.Vendor.dll
        • all .cs files in bin\Custom except these :
          • NinjaTrader.Custom.cs
          • NinjaTrader.Vendor.cs
        • AssemblyInfo.cs
        • any subfolder of bin\Custom that has a .cs file that does not start with an @ sign
        • Start NinjaTrader 8. You will receive some dialogs about Ninja being unable to start because it needed to recompile some dlls. OK out of these dialogs
        • Start NinjaTrader 8 once more
