    Hello hdge4u,

    Thank you for writing in.

When scaling into the same Active ATM Strategy, there is no way to tell which of the two Targets came from which entry.

Although, due to the rules of FIFO, it doesn't really matter. The next target that gets hit and filled is going to cause you to Exit the positions in the order that they were Entered.
    • So, no matter which Profit or Stop Loss target gets hit first, it is going to Exit the First position you entered First
    • There is no way to get it to skip the first order and have it exit the last entered position first.

Even if you were separating this into two entry prices with their own set of targets, the rules of FIFO would still apply and the Targets would cause you to exit the positions in the order that you entered them.

There is no way to change the NinjaTrader platform from using FIFO.

Please feel free to read through the following help guide link that goes over how NinjaTrader helps preserve FIFO on orders:Please let us know if we may provide any further assistance.

IF: Even if you were separating this into two entry prices with their own set of targets, the rules of FIFO would still apply and the Targets would cause you to exit the positions in the order that you entered them.

therefore: FIFO still apply if i DO NOT use an ATM strategy?

        Hello hdge4u,

Thank you for the follow-up question.

        Yes.

The rules of FIFO always apply to all of your orders in NinjaTrader.

As well, these rules are technically put in place and enforced by your Broker and the Exchange, as the order get filled At and By the Exchange.
        • NinjaTrader just receives an update on what When and What prices the orders filled at and updates its interface.
Please feel free to read through the following publicly available link for more general information on FIFO:Please let us know if we may provide any further assistance.
