    $TICK index

    Hi Support,

Do I need to be on NT8 in order to get the $TICK index?

    Thanks,
    Spartacus

    Hello Spartacus,

    Thank you for writing in.

The ^Tick Index is available within both the NinjaTrader 8 and NinjaTrader 7 platforms.

You just need to be connected to a Broker or Market Data Provider that provides that real-time market data and you need to be subscribed to it.

If you are with NinjaTrader Brokerage and would like to sign up for the market data that provides the Indexes:

The ^TICK Index would be included with the Dow Jones & Key Indices market data enablement.

Please use the Market Data form linked to select the exchanges that you wish to have enabled on your account.
    • You must select ALL exchanges you would like to be enabled for your trading account upon each submission, including any subscriptions you currently have if you want to keep them.
    • If you would like to cancel your Market Data Subscription, select "No Market Data" within the Customize section of Step 3.
    • Market data fees are billed at the beginning of each month.
    • Any new market data subscriptions will be billed within 1-2 business days.
    • Market Data Fees are billable for the current month in the full amount. The exchanges do not prorate the fees or otherwise discount them based on the amount of days remaining in the month

If you are with another broker or would like to get your market data from somewhere else, you will want to look through the following providers and see which ones provide Indexes and then reach out to them directly for more information on getting the ^TICK index through them:
Please remember that the Forum is publicly facing so DO NOT share any private information here. If you have a NinjaTrader Brokerage account and need to discuss your market data in further detail, please send in an email directly to Support (at) NinjaTrader (dot) com with your questions and we will follow up with you there.

Otherwise, please let us know if we may provide any further assistance.
