Entry Orders

Hi everyone,

I just started using the free version of Ninja Trader this week and wanted to know how to execute an Entry Order.

Is there anyway I can enter the market at pre-determined price?

For example lets say the market is at 48.00 and I went to sell once it reaches 47.50. Is there anyway to enter 47.50 manually as a pre-determined entry point to sell, without having to wait for the price to hit 47.50 and then executing a market order?

Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

You can submit a Stop Market order at your price of 47.50.

would that be a Stop Market buy or sell in this particular case?

A Sell order since you want to sell at that price.

Ok, so hypathetically I execute a Stop Market Sell at 47.50. My profit target is 20 ticks; 47.30 and my Stop Loss is 10 ticks; 47.60.

How do I fit all this into my order?

I know I might be asking what may seem basic to you but Im new to all this and I'm trying to grasp all these concepts.

You need to set up your ATM Strategy first before you submit your order. When the order gets filled the strategy becomes active.
