First, I reccommend restarting NT. No other programs open as this can be memory intensive. Only have the control center open. Not even the DOM.
Connect to Zen-Fire.
Create a YM 1 minute 12-08 (or your desired instrument) chart with these range settings:
- 10/15/2008 start date (or whatever date setting you wish up until the day after the last rollover at least, you will probably only retrieve data that Zen saved anyway, about 60 days)
- 12/11/2008 last date (recent rollover date)
Create a YM 1 minute 03-09 chart with the default look back period.
Leave the charts opened.
Merge the instruments.
You will see minute and tick data is merged and no daily data, since Zen-Fire does not support historical daily data.
Once the merge is finished, close both charts.
Open up a new YM 03-09 chart (any time or volume setting) with a look back period 0f 60 days and the data from the YM 12-08 should be reflected in the chart.
I would also reccommend exiting the app., and choose 'no to all' so as not to overwrite your recent workspace. I also restarted my PC to clear the cache (alot of stuff is going on during the merge!). After you restart the app., give it some time to digest the newly merged data.
I want to thank NT Jason for following through with this problem, because it is the attention these techs give that keeps me from leaving the NT kingdom.
