Whatever color you like to change bars, lines, etc.
Example:
You open Indicators, choose one indicator, click on choose color, click left on user defined (in german benuterdefiniert), choose one of the 16 white boxes on the bottom, make a right click, choose your colour (for example by RGBs), click "add color". Then the indicator gets your custom color but if I want to change the next plot, I have to manually input my RGBs again. Aren´t the 16 empty spots there for saving custom colors? How can I save a custom color to use it several times easily?

However you can use a chart template or workspace to save your custom indicator colors.

Just wanted to let you know that I found out that it works when going through the chart properties bar color selection. It´s saving the custom colors in the empty spots (but only as long as the "Chart Properties" are opened). Unfortunatly it doesn´t work in indicator properties.Last edited by flxxx; 12-14-2008, 04:19 PM.

Custom color in a Strategy.
What if I want to use a custom color in a Strategy. They are not saved in a workspace or template. I use different strategies as indicators for multiple time frame setups. Is there a way to specify a custom color in the "private color ....." variable as a default? This way I won't have to reload my custom color settings each morning for every chart that uses the strategy.

BradB, the serialization of colors code sample should work in strategies as well, but applied strategies would not be saved with NinjaTrader 6.5 (7 will do this - http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/NT7/NinjaTrader7.html)
What about defining a default color for each Master instrument and timeframe in the code, this way the should be colored individually upon loading.BertrandNinjaTrader Customer Service

For a custom color you can define via ARGB values and this C# method - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr....fromargb.aspxBertrandNinjaTrader Customer Service
