Price feed connection problems

    Price feed connection problems

    Hello ! I'm using zen-fire demo now, and have problem with price
    connection - very often price feed connection lost and comes back
    in a few seconds, while primary connection is still connected all this time.
    In Log section it looks like :

    Date Category Message

    29.12.2008 20:39:15 Connection demo: Primary connection=Connected, Price feed=Connected
    29.12.2008 20:39:14 Connection demo: Primary connection=Connected, Price feed=ConnectionLost
    29.12.2008 20:26:56 Connection demo: Primary connection=Connected, Price feed=Connected
    29.12.2008 20:26:34 Connection demo: Primary connection=Connected, Price feed=ConnectionLost

    Is there any way to fix it? Thanks.

    Hi jk541, welcome to the NinjaTrader forum! On which type of system are you using this? I am not aware of a difference in design between the ZenFire real and demo feed, but you may contact your broker for more info on this. Do you have these disconnects on one feed alone?

      Hi Bertrand ! Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have these disconnects from zen-fire feed on real-time demo. Before it, demo worked good.

        Hi jk541, did you change anything in your setup (i.e. from a wired connection to wireless)? Are you experiencing maxed out task manager performance values while this occurs? I had it running all day and did not have one disconnect....

          No, I didn't change anything in my settings, it all the same parameters as before, that worked good.

            Hi jk541, please try the following then -
            • Please go to the Tools menu -> select Account Connections -> highlight your ZenFire connection -> click Remove
            • Then go to the Tools menu -> select Options -> select the Misc tab -> click Repair DB
            • Restart NinjaTrader
            • Please go to the Tools menu -> select Account Connections and recreate your ZenFire account connection with the guide below -
