    duplicate oif

whats the definition of a duplicate oif order.
I hit the write oif button in quick succession, and BT always executes the orders, despite ignore duplicate oif being ticked

Hi pzwag, this refers to the StrategyID you use, in your test you can enter something like 001 for a test, subsequent files with that ID will be ignored then if you checked 'Ignore Duplicate OIF Files'.

      stratagy id issue

If the strategy id has anything in it whatsoever, trades will never fire.
This is not what you are saying in your post.
How do I get this feature to work, and how do i get the situation where duplicate oif are ignored

        pzwag,

It will ignore them if you have 2 with the same ID simultaneously in your queue for OIFs to be processed. OIFs are processed immediately so that is why it worked. You put in one. It processed. You put in another. It will process as well. Only when you have two simultaneously needing processing will the duplicate be ignored.

Please see your Control Center logs for errors. You need to select a Strategy template first.

                pzwag,

Because you need to create them first via ATM strategies. Please see the Help Guide article for creating ATM strategies and saving them as templates. There are videos for how to make these.

                  stop orders

using atm template stop orders, will the stop order fail if the market has gone through it?
on tradestation stop orders they can be re-submitted.
on oif without atm they fail.
as for oif with atm, im not sure.
                  Its hard to test.

Hi kiwibird, not sure I follow - this will mostly depend on which order types are natively supported by the exchange you are trading on and also which broker technology you use - please see this link here > http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/...ead.php?t=5349

                      atm

can i make atm that have stop, and no profit target, or just no stop and profit target.
the reason i ask is that atm strategies can be canceled to go flat,
while non atm you can only buy or sell realative to the position you think you have. I know there are command to flattern an account, but thats not sutiable.

my account would be with zenfire on eminis and ddp dax.
so if the market moves thought the stop on atm with oif, before the order is placed, what will happen?

                        - ATM's can have a stop with no target
                        - ATMs can't have NO stop or target
                        - If the market moved past stop prior to the stop placed this stop would be rejected however, unless your stop is 1 tick away from your entry, this should rarely happen. I can think of a few times in our five year history where this has happened and always due to a stop a 2 or less ticks from entry.
