    HDMS server disconnect occurred

    I don't seem to be able to download any historical data at the moment...

    Earlier I upgraded TWS to 865.7, then upgraded NT5 to 1000.5

    When I open a new chart and set my days back etc, the "loading data" dialogue just sits there on today's date.

    On my minute chart I am getting realtime data, as well as price action on the DOM.

    At one stage, I was getting heaps of dialogue windows just showing "1.318 - 1.319" or similar, which were impossible to delete, so I killed NT with Windows Task Manager.

    Is this something I've done (or not done), or is IB having a spat at the moment?

    here's a jpg sample of the log file...thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    a) You need to be connected to your IB live account to get backfill data, IB demo or IB paper trade will not work.
    b) Please uncheck control center -> Diagnostics tab->Strict

      Thanks Dierk, but I am connected to my live IB account

      and "Strict" was unchecked already...

        There are known issues with TWS communication, where TWS is not strict on the protocol. Unfortunately the TWS problems do not even occur consistently. Most of these issues should be covered by NT6.

        I suggest upgrading to NT6 in case you keep experiencing these issues.

            As you regular subscriber you have got announcement mail holding links. Please send me mail (including your license) to "dierk AT ninjatrader.com" in case you have not got it

            If you're are a sim user then you had to wait for next beta (available next week).

              I am still SIM user, so I guess I will have to wait then.

              So there is nothing I can do in the meantime about this....or should I just subscribe now?

                Subscribing would be great of course, you may consider the lifetime promo action which is currently running (today is last day, please contact "sales AT ninjatrader.com").

                  I was hoping to sort out this hiccup with the new downloaded TWS 865.7 and NT5 1000.5 version combination, but yeah, I'll check out the offers. Thanks.
