Are you on the 'data only' subscription? If yes, please uninstall the full eSignal and install the data manager from this link - http://www.esignal.com/download/dm/

eSignal connection error -- missing dbcapi.dll

                  Hi,

While trying to connect to eSignal I get the following error message, "login failed, failed to load dbcapi.dll" as in the attached picture.
I've tried with the eSignal version linked in the connection instructions and with the one recommended in this thread, neither worked.

Please see the attached pictures for my settings and more info.

                  Thanks,
                  D

doculik, on which OS are you working here? Is NT installed and run from an admin account?

                      Hi Bertrand,

I'm running it from Win7-64 and yes, it's an admin account.

Thanks, can you then please -

                        a) uninstall current NT7 from the Win Control Panel
                        b) check if the Program Files > NinjaTrader 7 is removed then as well, if not please delete (leave the folder under Documents intact (!))
                        c) reinstall latest NT7 from here - http://www.ninjatrader.com/download-registration.php
                        d) recheck if you can connect
                        e) if not please install eSignal 10.6 fresh as well and create a complete new NT eSignal account connection then as well
                        f) then recheck again if you can connect please

                        Thanks,

Will try. However, is there a way of keeping my chart templates, MA templates, strategies, indicators, etc? I have a lot of them and I wouldn't want to lose them!

EDIT: Ah, sorry I just re-read the indications and saw that I'm supposed to keep the NT under Documents intact, and that's where all these personalized settings are stored, right?

                          Thanks,
                          D
