    trace files

I am running out of space on my HD (only 5 gig free!!). The trace files are getting hard to manage as they are often over 1 gb and therefore I don't get a week without having to move them. If I forget then Ninja freezes and I'm out of the market until I close the procs and move the files. Moving takes time so I end up deleting them which defeats the purpose of having them in the first place.

Any ideas as to how to manage these better pls? Ideally I'd like to set them write to another HD. Is that possible? Else is there a util that will periodically move them to another drive?

    Thanks

    Hello Ninjauser,

    Thank you for your post.

Please look at the diagnostic tab instructions at the bottom of this link to make sure you don't have unnecessary information being saved: http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...anceTips1.html

Unfortunately you cannot change where these are written and I am not aware of a utility that can move these for you.

        Account Perf error

        Hi,

when I run a account performance calculation for a period of more than 2 months, I have an error popup window.

If I reduce the length of the calculation period, the account performances are calculated correctly.

        Is this normal ?
        What should I do ?

        Thank you for your support.

(I have displayed the Default workspace, with no chart on the screen. Just Control Center.)

          Hi,

Can you please repair your database. Go to Tools--> Options--> Misc tab--> Repair DB.

Let me know if this corrects your issue.

            Thank you for your reply.

I have tried to repair the DB, unfortunately it does not change the problem.

              Hello,

If the repair DB doesn't work, unfortunately there is corrupt data in your database that wasn't corrected.

You can try upgrading to 6.5.1000.8, the latest realease. Also try repairing your installation:
              1. Shut Down NinjaTrader
              2. Go to Uninstall Programs in the Windows Control Panel
              3. Select NinjaTrader and hit the "repair" or "change" button and follow the instructions to repair the installation.

One last question : am I going to lose chart annotations or past trades if I repair or install the new version ?
