    help with data import

    Dear sirs

I have a question about data import , if I have an hole in my database (due to a blackout for instance) can I import , for instance , first 30 min of current session or do I have to import all today's data up to the time of importing ?
I mean if another NT user gives me first 30 min data I will be able to merge them with my collected data?

You only can import complete days.

You may consider exporting the day in question, manually edit the file and add the missing data and then reimport it.

      Hi Dierk

so I can't fill the gap until the market close , is that correct?

      Regards.

Please see below: you only can fill a gap by
        a) exporting the day you want to fill
        b) manually editing the export file and add missing data (e.g. by merging from another file)
        c) reimporting that file

          Massimmo,

Basically, whatever you import will override what is already in your database. I would wait until market close anyways otherwise you risk creatingminor gap when importing. Once the market is over, have your friend export todays day, if he/she does not have a gap, just import the file.

I'm trying to import a text file with daily data (Dax Future) into NT , but Im' getting an error message "illegal open value in line 565" and can't understand where the problem is.
I opened the file and checked the faulting line but it looks like ok to me.
I imported the data as FDAX 03-07 and after the importing if i create a daily chart it plots fine.
Could you have a look at the imported file .

              Thanks

              Massimo

Open value < low value: 20050607;4516;4575;4518;4561;112506

                -> inconsistent data

Next beta will provide more details error messages.

                Thanks
