    Esignal Connection Problems

Having problems reconnecting ninja trader to esignal. had each on a different computer, the one crashed. I tried to install ninja trader on the new computer but i got 2 error msg:
"This application has failed to start because IMPLODE.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." tried it, didn't work.
"Login failed: Failed to load 'C:\ProgramFiled\NinjaTrader6.5\bin\Esignal\dbcapi .dll'"

Can this be fixed? Can I get Ninja Trader running on the new computer?

Hi jwanch1, welcome to the NinjaTrader support forums.

Did you install the eSignal application properly before trying to connect to it with NinjaTrader?

For our eSignal connection guide, please check this link - http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/support_esignal.htm

I have a problem connecting to eSignal. I was initially getting implode.dll problem. Then it some how gone away and I only have the problem with dbcapi.dll

I installed, uninstalled, tried to register the dlls but they are apparently not COM.

        Hello r2009,

Can you please clarify if you uninstalled NinjaTrader or eSignal.

Please try uninstalling/re-installing the eSignal software once more and check if the error persists. Make sure you install the eSignal Data Manager as well, which is required to create a connection to eSignal.

I tried a few times. I have another 3rd party application (not .NET) which can connect to eSignal without any problem. However, the following part of the log hints that this possibly happens due to some changes eSignal made in their recent releases. Could you verify on your end?

Just checked here with latest NT 6.5.1000.15 and eSignal 10.6.18.79 - works as expected here on my end.

Did you try a 100% clean install of latest NT as well?

Since I am on Vista I tried to run the NinjaTrader.exe as an administrator. DLL problems disappeared, but I still cannot connect.

              Am getting the following message

NT launches Data Manager (DM). Data manager is connected now, but NT is not connected to it.

This was not the case the first time I tried to connect. DM was launched but it could not connect to eSignal. When I went to DM properties I noticed that user id and password were missing. I re-entered them.
Restarted NT and DM. DM started to connect but NT still cannot.

NT hangs with status bar message: Connecting - eSignal

Thanks for reporting back, correct NT should be installed in a user account with admin rights....

For the Level2 error just blank out the Level 2 server when you setup the eSignal account connection in NT, then you should be able to connect after this change.

                Thanks
