    Why is stop triggering early?

I have a stop in place on an automated system the price gets close (2-3 ticks) to my stop price but does not exceed stop price. Stop triggers anyway. Are stop prices based on bid-ask or last trade?

Stops are based on last. You should debug this instead of relying on visuals. Print out values of the close and when it fills your stop. That is the only way you can know what is truly happening.

I have this problem too: a Stop in place on an ATM system the price gets close (2-3 ticks) to my stop price but does not exceed stop price. Stop triggers anyway.

How can such a simple procedure have a bug? Oh, of course, it's Ninjatrader rubbish...
