    Connection to eSignal problems

    Hi together,

    trying to connect NT (last version) to eSignal. ESignal standalone works fine.

    Setup in the account manager of NT is made like the installation guide from the NT HP. After click connect, the Data manager opens correct. But after that sometimes I get an error message: unable to connect to tick server, or no messages, but nothing happens. NT application hang up often.

    Any ideas?
    (It's a simulatet trading version of NT)

    Thank you for your post.

    This occurs when your eSignal account is not entitled for level 2 (market depth) data. You must change your eSignal account connection in NinjaTrader by performing the following steps.
    • From within the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Account Connections
    • Select your eSignal connection and press the "Change" button
    • Press the "Next" button several times until you reach the screen wich holds your eSignal account information
    • Remove all text from the field "Level II server host" so that it is blank
    • Press the "Next" button and then the "Finish" button
    • Restart NinjaTrader and connect to your eSignal account

      Sorry, I have forgotten to tell you, that I have delete this section before. But unfortunately that don't solves the problem...
      Another error messages comes. login failed to news server. Deleting this line, then comes another message. Unable to connect to tick server and so on.

        Ok, try the following:

        1.) Remove your connection: Tools --> Account connections --> (your created connection) --> remove.
        2.) Repair your database: Tools --> Options --> Misc --> Repair DB.
        3.) Restart NinjaTrader and create a new connection using the connection guide: http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/su...tionguides.htm

          Hi Ninja Trader,

          same thing. I follow all your suggestions, but it's just the same. Data manager opens perfect but error message ..."news server". Trying once more, nothing happens and NT hangs up...

            Hello Jens,

            Try uninstalling eSignal and download from their website.
