Historical Data from Gain 2000-2008: HELP!

    Hi,

Gain provides some historical data for some major pairs, but itīs impossible to import them to nt. In the log file is noticed: $EURUSD: Unexpected number of fields in line 1, should be 6 or 3. (itīs an excel file; Microsoft Office Excel Comma Separated Values File)
I mean the problem is clear, but I really donīt know how to fix that practically! The nt manual did not help.
    Hopefully someone has an idea!

    Hello,

Try deleting the first line and see if that helps.

If not, post your data file and I will look at it.

Note it has to be in this format:

        Historical Data Fragment

Ok, I uploaded a fragment, since it is impossible to post "large files" with 2mb.

              Unexpected number of fields

              Dear Ninja traders,
I've spent too much time trying to figure this out, PLS help.

              Installed Ninja Trader 6.5.1000.8.
Added ES 06-08 to Instrument Manager.

Downloaded various ES files from http://ninja.korthrun.net/

Tools - Historical Data - Import.....

All the files I tried gives me this error:

ES 06-08: Unexpected number of fields in line '1', should be 6 or 3

Can not delete the first line since the .ntm file can not be opened.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

              Al

                Hello,

I would have to see the data formatting. It must be like this:

                  Allen,
I've been able to import the Gain historical data successfully. Look for the C# app and source code that I gave away on this site and on EliteTrader. The C# code was intended to convert CQG data for import into NT but it can be easily modified to convert Gain data.
