How To display Moving Averages over the Chart? (panel

    Sorry for the noob question.

I need to have MAs indicators OVER the chart.. on panel 1..

But if I select Panel 1, i get the chart compressed on the top of the screen.

Any solution on how to do it?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello,

So when you attach SMA to Panel 1 the chart is compressed? Charts only get compressed when there is a bad tick or an indicator that is not scaled the same as the price panel.

Hi Ben, Thanks for your answer.
But this ocurr when I open a new chart, (ie. ES 03-09 Interval setting 1 Minute). Then I want to get the MACD indicator, and its open in panel 2 itself, if I try to get it in panel 1, I get the chart compressed.

In the indicator propierties its marked as "Auto Scale True", but it does not auto scale at all.

Any other Idea on how to fix this problem?

      Thanks!

        Hello Racerx7,

        This is expected.

At this time it is possible for an indicator to be placed in either the price panel or another indicator panel however, if all objects in the panel do not share the same relative scale, the visual affect will not be as you expect.
For example, if you placed a stochastics indicator in the price panel, the y-axis scaling of this panel will be from a range of zero to the highest high of you price series. This will likely cause the price bars to be severely compressed in the top of the chart.
The ability to "overlay" will be added in NinjaTrader 7.
As an alternative, there are some user submitted custom indicators such as "stochastics over price" located in our NinjaScript File Sharing section of our forum. These are free to use.
