    Strategies stop when getting disconnected

    Hi,

I am using strategies for trading and when i reconnect after getting disconnected the positions will be there but the strategies i gave initially won't show up in the strategies tab and i have to give the enter the strategies again. Is there any way to retain the strategies?

I get disconnected everyday 10:00 PM. I use Interactive Brockers. Is this happening from Ninja side or IB side?

    Thanks,
    Kiran

    Hello Kiran,

    Thank you for your post.

Unfortunately this is expected as strategies are designed to stop if disconnected.

IB performs a server reset every night, this is most likely the cause of your nightly disconnect.

If the strategies are stopping its fine i can use the start button to resume again, but the strategy itself is not showing up in the tab upon reconnecting. Is there any way i can see the strategy i used and i can resume?

Unfortunately the strategy is removed when disconnecting and there is no way to change this.

What if you have combinations of multiple equities/systems
in the Strategies Grid (e.g. 1000 stocks). There should be some way where people can copy from let's say an Excel spreadsheet for a fast paste of the necessary fields in the Strategies Grid (Strategy/Instr/Data/Param) and the possibility to highlight a bunch
of those rows to press the Start button for the Startegy to kick off.

Is there any 3rd party programming for this?

          Thanks,

              On a separate issue.
When modifying an existing strategy in the Strategies Grid and
recompiling (F5) do you have to remove the strategy from the Grid
and then reintroduce it so that you affect the new changes?

Is there any way to modify an existing stragey in the grid (time interval,
parameters) without removing it and reitnroducing it?
              Thanks,

                --> Correct.

--> Unfortunately this is not supported as the strategy cannot be modified after being applied.
