Real time data overwriting historical data

Hi,
Working OFFLINE, I can build (after reading the help section) a nice 30min bars chart with 6 months of data behind it. The next morning, I connect to IB to get real-time data for the front month contract and...

it overwrites the previous data I merged into it!!

How can I avoid overwriting? How can I tell the chart to update real time FROM today and leave yesterday untouched?

Hi Juan, this can happen when NinjaTrader determines that it has not all needed chart data present in its database, please check this link here - http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...ricalData.html

For backtesting you could maintain a merged offline symbol (no mapping set thus no data downloaded).
