Error on testing email setup

Hi

I try to setup the email fun so it can send me alert but when i try to setup and test... it give me 'Fail to sent mail : 500 5.5.1 Command unrecognized: "AUTH LOGIN" '

Please help me... thank you

Hi Xtrooper, did you try changing the SMTP outgoing mail server to use your own ISP's mail server.

You can set this information via the Control Center window Tools > Options > Misc.

My local ISP have a email account and I am using the local ISP SMTP setting same as my outlook..

Are you using SSL on this email account when logging on? Can you try this without it? Thanks!

I don't see any 'SSL' check box in the ninja trader, may i know where to turn it off?

There is unfortunately none, I was referring to the setting in your normal pop3 email account.

No.. I didnt activate any of this.. it was a very basic setup.. do you who what is the error number refer to?

Not sure I follow Xtrooper, can you please try this using a non SSL Pop3 / SMTP account with the port at the default of 25...or if you use a setting to logon your Pop3 server first to send mail try a port setting of 110. Thanks!

I am trying to test my email setup as well. I am trying to email to my phone, which my aol count has no problem sending to. I am trying to send it to [email protected]. When I run the test in Ninja it says "Failed to send mail: Error connecting to server www.ninjatrader2.com??

Any ideas?
