Replay control gone missing

    Replay control gone missing

    Dear Support,

    I have 2 monitors and using the replay feature, which is excellent stuff.

    For some reasons or the other, the little replay window gone missing (that's the play/pause buttons with the time slider) and I can't replay anymore.

    On the Windows task bar, I see the window "Replay..." but it is not one the visible areas of 2 monitors. I use Windows Remote Desktop frequently which forces Windows to keep switching between a single and 2 monitor desktops.

    Could you please help me restore the window back?

    Hello sasuke,

    Unfortunately you will need to delete the workspace and recreate a new one to get the control window back. You can delete workspaces at My Documents-->NinjaTrader 6.5-->workspaces.

    The Market Replay control should re-appear in a new workspace.

      Uhm, I have to delete it...

      I do have to delete it? My background is a software engineering in c# so I was kinda hoping you have the window pos saved in one of those config files.

      That is not the case?

        Unfortunately this is outside the scope of our support.

        You can create a new workspace and first test if the Market Replay control appears.

        Add the charts and other windows to this new workspace. You can load saved chart templates to speed up the re-building process.

            Jason, I tried your suggestion, create a new workspace and restore charts and all.
            But the little replay window is still missing, no where to be seen.

            Please help!

              Can you please confirm the lower left corner of the Control Center states 'Connected - Replay' in green.

              Please try the following. Close NinjaTrader and go to My Documents-->NinjaTrader 6.5-->workspaces and move the entire content to a different location.

              Start NinjaTrader and connect to the Market Replay and check if the Market Replay control will appear.

                I came across the thread:


                which mentioned the following:

                Close NinjaTrader
                Locate the workspace xml (Default.xml is the one I use)
                Edit the file
                Find <ReplayControlCenter>
                Edit the Location node to read: <Location>0;0</Location>
                Save and restart NinjaTrader
                When I looked at my Default.xml the following

                <ReplayControlCenter>
                <Location>-32000;-32000</Location>
                <Size>344;78</Size>
                <WindowState>
                </WindowState>
                </ReplayControlCenter>

                And as described above, it fixed by setting the location to 0!
