Overlaying indicators in same panel with different scales

TradeStation has the ability to plot different indicators in the same "window" (panel in NinjaTrader Chart) that have completely different scales. Each indicator is plotted with the scaling set to min and max range that that indicator has in the viewable window. I have a need for this functionality. Is there a way to perform this in NT6 charting?

    Thank you.

    Patient1,

At this time we do not support multiple y-axis price scales on the same panel. This is a feature that is committed to development but it won't be seen until later this year.

I should have mentioned, this is possible to do via custom plotting/painting. You should be an experienced C# programmer since we do not currently provide technical support at this level. If you do not have this experience, we can always put you in touch with a consultant.

OK. Is there a way to determine how many bars are visible on the current chart? I can perform my own custom scaling algorithms to get them to "fit" into the same "virtual scale" and thus be plotted on the same Y-axis.

        Thank you.

Just a vote for this feature also. Being able to use different indicators with different scales in the same indicator window is something I do frequently in both ESignal and TradeStation. Please let me know if I can provide further clarification on how I use those products capabilities or if you need screen shots/examples.

          Thanks for your consideration.

            Hi
Can you advise how to overlay the Stachostic Slow Indicator into the candlesticks price chart panel?

The year is about up. Is overlaying indicators in the price panel (or any panel for that matter) with different scales supported in 6.5? I didn't see it mentioned anywhere in the release notes.

I believe it is still in the works, but in the meantime I have coded two overlays that works on the price panel.

Thanks Josh. I needed the Stochastics overlay so that is an early Christmas present. I believe Santa is currently over Peoria, Illinois.........

                      Overlay Indicators in same Panel

                      Hi,

I read through different Posts that an overlay capability would be ready by the end of las year (2007). It is now Feb 08 but it seems that such capability is not built in yet.

Can you please confirm when will that be available? I would like to Overlay EMA with MACD in same Panel to compare slopes and potential turn points.

                      Thanks
                      HJS

                        - we never put out an ETA for that feature nor do we have a confirmed ETA at this time
                        - however we have this feature on our list for NT7 which should be available as beta by the end of this year
