    Error 200 TWS connection

    I had 3 out of 10 symbols equities that are producing error 200 from IB, specifically 5 minute bars from yesterday only are incorrect. I repaired the database as well as instruments. I connected to IQ feed and get the same result. Also called IB as well as Iqfeed and they are seeing correct data. I can also pull up a 2 day 5minute chart of each on TWS fine. I also read and follwed these instructions:





    After performing these instructions 1 of the 3 symbols were corrected> the last 2 are still incorrect, any further thoughts?

    BTW, TWS 887.2 and everything worked fine yesterday

    I suggest to upgrade NinjaTrader and TWS to versions 6.5.1000.9 (NT) and 892 (TWS).

    Check if the issue persists. If so, please tell me which instruments produce the error.

      Hello Jason,

      I upgraded both TWS and NT and am getting the same results...Error 200 and incorrect chart data from yesterday. Nothing changed spilt/dividend/exchange from yesterday, nothing changed on IB's end according to the tech dept.

        Hello rightcoast,

        Please ensure to enable both the Default exchange and the native exchange the instrument is traded on in the Instrument Editor window.

        Open up a new chart and check if the error persists.

          Hi Jason,

          I tried adding NYSE as well and NYSE exclusively. I also attempted to add Amex just to see, all results were unchanged from before. Thanks

            Hello rightcoast,

            I tested the same setup, but I could not reproduce the error message.

            Could you please restart NinjaTrader, close all windows except the Control Center.

            Connect to IB and create a SKF chart and check if the error persists under the Log-tab.

              Hi Jason,

              I followed your instuctions, we got rid of the error message 200 but the chart looks the same. I also tried closing all windows except for control center, saving it as default, logged off/on still no error message 200..good
              but chart is still messed up.

              Looking at the log file I see one IB warning about DIrect edge data, I'm defaulted to trade on Smart @ IB, not sure if thats causing this?

                Unfortunately I could not see the log file.

                Try right clicking in the chart and select 'Reload Historical Data'.

                If the issue persists, please post a screenshot of your chart.

                  "Reload Historical Data" Fixed!!!!!!!!! Thanks for your help and patience, enjoy your weekend.

                  For future reference how do we know when to upgrade NT as well as TWS, afterall TWS 887 was a dinosaur that we were told to use throughout the Ice age.

                    We always issue an announcement that will show up as you start NinjaTrader. This announcement usually goes out a few days after we make a new version available on our website.
