Rectangle disappears in middle of data series

Using the attached .cs file I am trying to draw a rectangle.
However the rectangle disappears for a section in the middle of the data.
The data is ES06-09 from 3/24/09 to 3/30/09 ... total of 1251 bars using 10000volume bars.

The rectangle shows fine from 3/24 to 3/25 3:29:43 bar... if I scroll right one more bar the rectangle disappears even thought that price area is still on the screen. The rectangle just goes off.
If I keep scrolling right the rectangle appears again (and fills all width of screen) starting with the 3/27 4:10:33 bar and is fine up to end of data.

If I zoom out so all the days are visible I see the full rectangle without issue.
If I zoom in so about 1 or 1.5 day is visible and scroll left/right is when the issue appears.

Zoom out and see entire data fine: http://screencast.com/t/huPaVndd4P
    Rectangle not shown: http://screencast.com/t/7xaSNuhJ0NL
Move right one bar now its there: http://screencast.com/t/RS4L9IjdTW

I noticed this thread.. not exact same problem but similar.. no answer was given: http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/...ight=rectangle

    Using version 6.5.1000.9

    Thanks for the help.

Hi foxthorn, thanks for your post - we're investigating what the cause of this might be. Thanks for your patience.

Thanks for raising this one. Unfortunately this is a known limitation which we already have on our list for future considerations: basically an object where anchor points would be too far off left and right of the chart would not be rendered.

Do you know if using DrawRegion instead of DrawRectangle would help here... or would this result in the same issue?

        Thanks.

The issue is not related to the actual type of drawing object but to the anchor points: any object with left anchor point way off left the chart and right anchor point way off right the chart could exhibit this behavior.

            Thank you...
            One more question....
Can you tell me what the limit is... how may bars back/forward the drawing object can go ... then I can program it in such a way to create multiple rectangles instead of one big one ???

            Thanks!

There is no such fixed limit.

I experienced this same issue with the latest build, is there any work around, any sample that draw a rectangle with custom drawing for example ??

                  Hello,

As mentioned below by Dierk, if the anorch points are positioned in an extreme postion you will get this behavior.

For assistance with DrawRectangle() use this link:

stormze, this limitation is already on our list for future releases.

                        Anchor point

This is way beyond my programming level but if the anchor point is way off to the right/left of the chart canvas you need a method to pull the anchor point to within the chart canvas - a sort of back from the future , ahead of the past kind of thing?

Welcome to our forums here nfakt, correct this limitation is unfortunately a current one - it's on development feedback list to look into for your next major NT update, the assigning id here is #1065 and I've added your vote in as well.

Thanks and have a good upcoming weekend,
