    Ninja 7 beta

    Support,

When Ninja 7 Beta is introduced, would we be able to run the 7 beta version along with Ninja 6.5.x on the same system simultaneously? Or like one ninja version has to be shutdown and only one of the two versions can be run at a time?

We are targeting this quarter. You will be able to install both version on the same PC. I am unsure yet if both can run at the same time.

Thanks for the reply Ray. Would be useful,if one can run multiple ninja versions (installed in separate directories) on the same system simultaneously side by side like one for testing purposes and other live. If possible, can you please consider to enable that feature.

        Hello Patienttrader,

I have forwarded your suggestion to Development to support multiple instances of NinjaTrader on one machine.

        Thank you for your feedback.

          Jason/Support,

Has any decision been taken to introduce this feature in Ninja 7,so that multiple versions of ninja(two Ninja 7 or Ninja 6.5.x) can be run on same system. One can run a stable version say like Ninja 7.1(in future I mean) as live platform and new 7.2 as test platform on same system. or like Ninja 6.5.x and Ninja 7.x,..etc.

          Thanks
          PatientTrader

You can run one instance of 6.5 and one instance of 7 (provided 6.5 is started first) but NOT two instances of the same major version. So, NOT two instances of 7.

              Hi Support,

This doesn't seem to be working for me.

I have NT 6.5.1000.15 started up, and when I try to start up 7.0.0.16 (Beta 16) I get the "There can only be one instance of NinjaTrader running at a time (NinjaTrader/2)" error.

                Hello Profitabletrader,

Unfortunately this is as expected. As indicated, you can only run one instance at a time - you cannot run both NinjaTrader 6.5 and 7 simultaneously.

Please close NinjaTrader 6.5 and you will be able to start NinjaTrader 7.
