    Minimizing & Restoring charts

If I click on the Task Bar icon for each of my 10 charts to bring them forward and make them visible, once I click these icons again to minimize the charts Ican not get the charts to reappear without right clicking the icon and selecting "Restore". In previous betas, I could click the Task Bar icons forever and the charts would minimize and then restore each time, with no problems.

I'm running NT 6 beta 8. Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Ben

        Please try this:
        - uninstall NT6 via control panel
        - install custom build from here: https://www.ninjatrader-support.com/...er.Install.msi

        Does it make any difference?

Also: Which windows version is this? Latest service pack?

If you are referring to the message with the custom install, I did get it. Although I have not installed it yet. i still need to know which file to back up from my current beta 7 installation so that i don;t loose my custom indicators and chart settings.

Also, I am using Windows XP Pro - SP2

            thanks,
            Ben

Ben: As per my PM this morning you will not loose any custom files when you upgrade from B7 to B8.

oops, I did not check far enough into my inbox.I just found your other private message about installing the custom version. I'll do that tonight and send you a message once I've checked it out.

                Thanks,
                Ben

I tried your suggestion and it did not make any difference for me.

I can not reproduce on any of our machines here.

                        Let’s start simple. Please
-close all charts, SuperDOM etc. and only leave ControlCenter open
                        -disconnect from any feed
-now open one chart and minimize it
-when you now click on it in the toolbar: will it restore proeprly

I tried your suggestion. I minimized the chart and then clicked on the chart in the taskbar and it restored properly the first time. I tried again using the same chart and could not. I could however keep minimizing the chart using the minimize button in the chart and then click on the chart in the taskbar and it will restore as often as I want. The problem is I should also be able to click on the chart from the taskbar as well without having to restore it all the time.

                            Ok thanks.

                            Next step. Please try:
                            - close all charts,SuprDOm etc. and only leave ControlCenter open
                            - connect to sim feed
                            - open chart on an instrument supported by sim feed (e.g. ES)
                            - minimize chart
                            - "restore" by clicking on task bar
                            Does it restore and update?
